I Meditate Calgary Meditation Challenge

Gifting smiles, stress free lives and a healthy soul, I Meditate Calgary has completed a year with your support!

The 10 day meditation challenge was extremely well received by hundreds of participants across various cities in Canada! We aim to continue to create a violence-free and stress-free society, not just for Calgary but across Canada!

Join us at your closest IMC venue and give yourself an opportunity to breathe, meditate and meet with like-minded people and collectively focus on peaceful thinking and personal growth.

Meditation offers innumerable benefits for your body, mind and spirit. The rest you gain in meditation is deeper than the deepest sleep. The deeper your rest, the more dynamic your activity is.

Below are some experiences shared by our dear Meditators:

"Distress Centre on Campus Club at the University of Calgary was honored to have the opportunity to invite I Meditate Calgary to the U of C. I Meditate Calgary provided over 60 students the opportunity to relax and rejuvenate during one of the most hectic month for university students. Without a doubt, all the students appreciated the meditation session and can’t wait for I Meditate Calgary to come back to the U of C!

The following link is a blog post written by a member of the club’s blog committee on her experiences at the meditation session (titled “OOOOOOOOOOMMMM!”) http://dconcampus.com/our-blog/page/3" – Amy Li, President, Distress Centre on Campus Club.

“I did the 10 day challenge and I'm hooked ! I've been wanting to do this for a long time and the challenge came at the perfect time.” – From Calgary

"My husband and I did our first one today, the Smiling meditation. It was so soothing. Cant wait for the rest of the meditations.” – From Winnipeg

We would like to thank you all for the love and support, it’s been a memorable journey so far and we hope to continue to keep giving back to our community!

I Meditate Calgary Launch Event

Mayor Nenshi and Sri Sri

New Beginnings!

On April 21st, 2013 iMeditate Calgary was launched by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar with over 1000 people having attended the event. Sri Sri who had been bestowed as an honorary citizen of Calgary in his previous visit, was 'white hatted' this time around by Mayor Nenshi.

Since the launch event, free meditation sessions are being offered in all quadrants of Calgary and an opportunity for all levels of meditators to participate in group meditations. Thus, so far have received a tremendous response from the city and are excited about starting a new chapter in Calgary. We thank everyone who has contributed to this success and look forward to your continued support!
